Donaat De Boodt - Pofessional Experience

Donaat De Boodt is an independent consultant in technology-enhanced learning. He founded his consulting firm “LEARNING°BANK” in Brussels, March 2001.

Donaat started his career at Barco Graphics as instructor on computer controlled pre-press systems. He conducted on-site training all over Europe in Dutch, French, English and German. After an account manager position in the IT industry, he continued his learning expertise as Enterprise Education Consultant at Sun Microsystems Inc. His latest assignment before starting “LEARNING°BANK” was supporting the start-up of SumTotal Systems, Inc. (former Docent Inc.) in Europe (1999 – 2001) as Senior Consultant on Learning Management Systems (“LMS”).

Donaat helps large companies and organisations in creating and implementing blended training and learning plans. This process involves the identification of learning needs realising corporate objectives, advising on learning models and systems, and calculating return on investment (“ROI”).
At project management level he leads the rollout of LMS, Learning Content Management Systems and authoring tools. A focal interests lie in the integration of knowledge management systems and LMS and the dynamic relationship between competency management and LMS.

Currently Donaat helps global software companies in developing strategies for deploying the international Standards and interoperability specifications for technology based learning.

Donaat De Boodt is a regular speaker at specialist conferences and he writes articles for leading HR magazines.
